San Ramon Police Crime Prevention Camera Share Program
Will the San Ramon Police crime prevention camera share program help reduce crime in our City?
San Ramon has been recognized as one of the safest cities in California. To help keep crime rates down to historic lows, the San Ramon Police Department is asking HOA’s, apartment/condo communities and individuals to participate in the Crime Prevention Camera Share Program. How do we do this? They suggest we place situational cameras at the entrance and exit points in our community and sign up for the Crime Prevention Share Program. This will help aid in solving crimes that occur in your neighborhoods. Only after a crime has taken place would the footage be requested to help solve the crime.
How does this benefit me?
Amazon.com and other delivery services are constantly delivering packages to my home and neighbors. Nothing is more frustrating than having your items stolen from the doorstep. Situational cameras are a great way to catch those who decide to target your home for any type of crime.
Where do I sign up?
If a crime occurs in your neighborhood, and you have a situational camera set up, share the information with our local police department. They cannot be everywhere at all times and rely on our support and assistance to solve crimes.
If you have any questions or need assistance with recommendations, please feel free to contact the San Ramon Police Department. To sign up for the citizen view camera registry, you can register at: http://www. sanramon.ca.gov/police/citizensview.htm
